Q4. Why should I upgrade to Version 1.1?

Q5. How do I upgrade?
A5. Upgrading is very simple. Simply download the application from the Download Page. Once the download has completed, launch the MP3Namer.exe setup program. Q6. Do I have to reregister if I upgrade?
A6. No. If you are a registered user you do not have to reregister. You will not even have to re-enter you registration code once the upgrade has finished. Top

Q7. Why do some of my MP3 files seem to get deleted?
A7. Rest assured, none of your MP3 files have been deleted. There was a small bug in version 1.0 of the application that occasionally saved MP3 files to the installation directory of the MP3Namer.exe file (C:\Program Files\MP3Namer by default) instead of where the file originally existed. This occurred when the file was manually renamed within the application, similar to the way tags are set. If this has happened to you, you can find your missing MP3 files in the application's install directory and may copy them back manually. This bug, along with a few other minor tweaks, have been corrected in Version 1.1. Visit the download page to get the new version. Top

Q8. Why won't MP3Namer rename some of my MP3 Files?
A8. If MP3Namer cannot rename an MP3 file, it is most likely because the operating system will not let it. This most commonly occurs because a file has been marked as Read-Only. It can also occur if a file already exists with the name that MP3Namer is trying to create. If you experience this type of behavior, double check the file Attributes as well as the names of the other files in the same directory. Top

Q9. What version of MP3 tags does MP3Namer support?
A9. Currently, MP3Namer only support ID3 v1 tags. Future versions of MP3Namer plan to include ID3 v2 tags. Top
