Work has begun on MP3Namer version 2.0! The new version will include many exciting new features, such as ID3v2 tag support and multiple views. Version 1.1 is now available for download! The new version contains a fix to the bug that was discovered yesterday (see below), as well as a few other small fixes and user interface tweaks. To upgrade the application if you already have it installed, simply download the new version and run the MP3Namer Setup. Choose the Modify or the Repair option, then select Next. The upgrade should then be complete. You will not have to re-enter your registration code if you are a licensed user. As always, please report any issues and feedback to MP3Namer Support. Enjoy!!

A small bug was discovered in the application that may move certain MP3 files to a different location on your hard drive. If an MP3 file is manually renamed within the application, similar to the way tags are set, the file does not get saved to the original location. Instead, files are saved to the location of the MP3Namer.exe program itself. Do not be alarmed if this occurs, as you will not lose any MP3 files. You may just have to copy them back from the installation directory (C:\Program Files\MP3Namer is the default). We will have a fix to this bug as soon as possible. In the meantime, we hope everyone continues to enjoy MP3Namer and we thank you for the tremendous support we have received so far!

We were experiencing some technical difficulties over the past few days, and we apologize if the MP3Namer.com website was unavailable at any time. Apparently there was an issue with the amount of bandwidth we were using. While we believe this was a good sign, indicating the popularity of MP3Namer, we have taken measures to ensure such an outage does not occur again.
